What is 8:11 week?

8:11 week is an unofficial event for fans of the rpgmaker game 8:11 by dubuk! The goal of the event is to create art based on daily prompts and to show appreciation for the source material and the characters we’ve all come to know and love!Although we ask that you post your pieces according to the event schedule, you are welcome to create your pieces beforehand, and in fact we recommend it to avoid overwhelming yourself. You can start creating your pieces now! Like Right Now!!

Event etiquette

PLEASE be kind to all other event participants. Keep comments positive. If you see ships or content you don’t like, use the block and mute tools as God intended.Tag your pieces appropriately. If your piece contains NSFW or upsetting content, please flag it and indicate content warnings in the caption so that others can avoid it if needed. More information on tagging will be in the posting guidelines.

How do the prompts work?

Each day will have two prompts. One prompt will be straightforward and concrete while the other will be more abstract. You can choose either one, create pieces for both, or even combine them if you wish! The final day of the event will be a free day, where you can create whatever you like.

What can I submit?

When we refer to your “art” or “pieces”, the terminology is vague on purpose. The medium and format of your piece is up to you. The medium of your piece can be: drawing, writing (fic, poetry, meta, theorycrafting etc.), 3D, multimedia, video edits, cosplay, music or playlists… you get the idea. Your piece does not have to be considered "polished", either! Sketches, storyboards, drabbles and other low fidelity pieces are more than welcome! However you want to express your love for 8:11, we want to see it!Your pieces for the event should be created BY YOU! Please refrain from submitting pieces that are traced, copied or created using generative AI. Collaboration between participants however, is encouraged! Make sure that all participants that contributed to a piece are credited when it is posted.Seeing as 8:11 is an 18+ game, pieces with NSFW content WILL be permitted. If your piece contains NSFW or triggering themes, we ask that you flag them appropriately. More information is in the posting guidelines.

What is a comment bang?

The week following the event posting schedule will encourage people to leave comments on pieces that were posted! Please keep comments positive and avoid spamming.

Where do I post my pieces?

8:11 week will only be facilitated on Twitter. You are more than welcome to cross-post your pieces to other platforms, but we will not be sharing or posting updates on any other platform.If your piece cannot be hosted on Twitter directly (eg: a written piece that exceeds Twitter's word count limit), please post a link to your piece in a tweet.

What information needs to be included?

When you post your piece, please tag the 8:11 week account (@811week) and use the event tags so that we can find your work! For SFW pieces, please use the tag #811week. For NSFW pieces, please use the tag #811weeknsfw.If your piece contains NSFW or triggering themes, we ask that you use the built-in Twitter flagging feature and include content warning keywords in the tweet so that they will be caught by Twitter's mute feature. Lastly, we ask that you use the NSFW event tag mentioned above.
